Welcome to The Glimmer, a one-act play by me, Ed Ballou. The Glimmer is a play about an ex-boxer who loses the fight for his eyes to the Radiation champ, then battles his wife for control of his marriage - enter their landlady's son, unlucky in love and bent on self-destruction... noted San Francisco actor Paul Loper travels to an Off Off Broadway theatre festival in New York City, to play opposite Hannah Scott and Princeton McCurtain, in a singular performance as "Mike" in The Glimmer. On this page there is a link to the 4 minute trailer, titled on YouTube as "2020 Glimmer Trailer". There is also a link to "How I came to write The Glimmer". "2020 Glimmer Video" is a link to the 41 minute film of The Glimmer, which was filmed on the opening night of a production of the play at the Roy Arias Spring Festival in New York City in 2012 at the Pagan Theatre, with Sylvia Baeza directing, and Paul Loper as "Mike", Hannah Scott as "Lil", and Princeton McCurtain as "George". There are links to pieces by Sylvia and Paul as to the actual production. Then there is a piece on "How I came to get The Glimmer Produced" in the 2008, in San Francisco. Finally there is my reaction to the New York production...
